SESTO SAN GIOVANNI – Inter v Bologna finished in a goalless draw in Week 21 of the Primavera season, a result strongly affected by the heavy rainfall in the hours just before kick-off.
"You sometimes have to play games on pitches like these," Stefano Vecchi began in his post-match analysis. "Some areas of the pitch were really waterlogged, but the ref wanted to play.
"We put a lot of effort in and it's a shame we didn't get the victory.
"We had a few good chances, but it was partly poor accuracy and partly bad lack that we couldn't take advantage of them.
"Bologna reacted to the conditions better in the first half, whereas we were on top after the break. We had to play route-one football as quickly as possible, but it wasn't easy to get the ball to our strikers.
"Now let's think about Wednesday's game against Vicenza, then we'll focus on Viareggio and the final of the Coppa Italia."
