MILAN - Inter's Under-17 Serie A & B side played their rearranged Week 18 league fixture against Hellas Verona at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti on Wednesday.
Gianmario Corti's kids showed great character to come back after a listless opening 40 minutes, turning the game around in the second period.
The Nerazzurri needed just four second-half minutes to level through Rover, who then bagged his second just before the hour mark, heading home Visconti's cross. On 65 minutes, Merola added a third to make it 3-1 to Inter.
The win sees the Nerazzurri leapfrog Atalanta, as they move onto 50 points. Inter lead the table ahead of the side from Bergamo (47 points) and AC Milan (40).
