MILAN – Gianni Infantino has been elected the new president of FIFA.
Inter president Erick Thohir, vice president Javier Zanetti and everyone at F.C. Internazionale would like to congratulate him on the achievement.
Zanetti, who was in Zurich for the election on Friday, declared: "This is an important moment. Infantino has great ideas and strong human values, so I know he’ll benefit world football. We all need to get behind him. He’ll need people to help him put his ideas into practice."
The Nerazzurri vice president also spoke about Inter’s upcoming league clash away at Juventus on Sunday: "It’ll be a great match. There is a wealth of tradition behind the two clubs and we have the potential to do well."
