AT JINDING SCHOOL ON OUTSKIRTS OF SHANGHAI

Inter Campus teaches and entertains in the school on the outskirts of Shanghai that accepts children of immigrants or poor families

SHANGHAI – Inter Campus has returned to Jinding School in Putuo, a district of Shanghai, to meet up with the kids who are a part of Inter Campus China.

Jinding School was set up in 2007 by the Chinese government to welcome children of immigrants or poor families that moved to the city from remote provinces and rural areas in search of work.

This is where Inter Campus has set up shop in this country with a technical and educational training project for P.E. teachers to support 125 girls and boys. The kids are sweet and shy before stepping onto the pitch, but burst into life full of enthusiasm during the game. The visit was inaugurated with a brief opening ceremony, during which books were presented to the children that had been supplied by our partner the Huituo Foundation.

The days we spent there involved play sessions for the youngsters, plus practical and theoretical training clinics for local trainers which were led by Inter Campus coaches Gabriele Raspelli and Dario Tripol.

The Nerazzurri delegation returns to Milan today, but as with every Inter Campus base all over the world, the kids will continue to learn and enjoy themselves with their local coaches. All that remains is to wait for that joyful moment when we meet again.
