BOLINGBROKE: "WE HAVE A LONG-TERM PLAN"

The Nerazzurri CEO speaks to exclusively Mediaset Premium

APPIANO GENTILE - Inter CEO Michael Bolingbroke spoke exclusively to Mediaset Premium earlier.

The first question was on the club's partners: "As for sponsorship, Pirelli has been our priority. I can't say any more than that, there'll be more news during the week."

A lot has been said about the stadium: "The refurbishment work on San Siro has always been very important to Erick Thohir and me. Over the next few days, while the president is in Italy, we will meet with all of the relevant stakeholders - with AC Milan and the Berlusconi family - and discuss things. Obviously it's something we're focused on and since we share a stadium with AC Milan, any decision should be made after consulting with them."

Finally, a word on the team and the president's project for the club: "Our plans have always been long term. It's a five-year plan and if we qualify for the Champions League at the end of this season - which is our aim - it would be fantastic. If we don't manage it, we'll continue with the work we've planned for the five-year period. You cannot alter a long-term plan simply because a single campaign didn't go according to plan. It wouldn't be a problem financially. We'd be disappointed because our target is Champions League football but it wouldn't be serious."
