INTER IN PARIS WITH EUROPEAN CLUB ASSOCIATION

A Nerazzurri delegation has attended the general assembly of the ECA, which was held in Paris on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 February

PARIS – F.C. Internazionale has participated in the general assembly of the European Club Association, which took place at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand Hotel in Paris on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 February.

Representing the Nerazzurri in Paris were vice president Javier Zanetti, Chief Executive Officer Michael Bolingbroke and Chief Communications Officer Robert Faulkner. There were a further 142 European clubs taking part in the event, including the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

An array of topics were discussed, with several focus groups running on Monday. In addition to Michael Bolingbroke, who was participating in institutional discussions, Inter youth academy director Roberto Samaden was also there to talk about the current dynamics of youth-level football.

Tuesday saw the conference take stock of the 90 Minutes for Hope initiative, which raised a total of €1.3m for UNICEF and Save the Children. F.C. Internazionale was one of the clubs taking part in the campaign, using the home match against Hellas Verona to raise funds.

Also speaking on Tuesday were FIFA legal director Marco Villiger, UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino and Euro 2016 SAS CEO Martin Kallen.
