VIGASIO – Stefano Vecchi was brimming with satisfaction after the Primavera earned a hard-fought victory away against Hellas Verona in Week 16 of the league season this morning.
"This win has come in the middle of a challenging period for us," explained the Nerazzurri coach to Sportitalia. "Alongside the quarters-finals and semis of the TIM Cup we've had equally tough league fixtures to face.
"We knew it would be tough. We reshuffled the line-up a bit as a few players were out injured and we were forced to play with a new system as a result.
"Despite all this, our attitude was spot on and I'm delighted with the lads' effort and desire out on the pitch.
"I'm aware we may have come away with more than we deserve but we've picked up a few points that could have come our way earlier. We were lucky not to concede and clinical in front of goal."
