SUPER SUB PINAMONTI REVELS IN VICTORY GOAL

16-year-old Primavera striker talks about his match-winning strike in this afternoon's Coppa Italia semi-final first-leg clash with Lazio

ROME – Another substitute appearance for the Primavera and another goal. Andrea Pinamonti is quickly earning himself a reputation as a super sub.

The 16-year-old hit the winner three minutes from time in this afternoon's Coppa Italia semi-final first leg after entering the fray in the 70th minute, and it's not the first time he's pulled the trick.

The Italy U17 striker wrapped up the Nerazzurri's 2-0 victory over Roma with an 87th-minute goal in the previous round, and scored twice in the league in December, against Udinese and AC Milan, coming off the bench on both occasions.

His goal against Lazio today was particularly important because it means Inter hold a slender lead going into the second leg - to be played in Milan on 9 February - with Stefano Vecchi's men just 90 minutes away from a place in the final.

"It's a big goal because we were playing away so it counts as double," Pinamonti told Sportitalia in a post-match interview.

"A 1-0 away win is a great result to take back to the Stadio Breda. I'm happy to have scored but I'm happy mainly because we won.

"The return leg is going to be tough. We have to make sure we play it with the same spirit as this game."
