MILAN – Inter vice president Javier Zanetti has called for the Nerazzurri to secure another three points against Carpi on Sunday afternoon.
"It’s going to be a tough match, but after our performance in the Coppa Italia against Napoli it’s important we keep winning," declared Zanetti.
Zanetti also recognised that there is an important period coming up for the Nerazzurri, who face Juventus in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday ahead of the derby on Sunday 31: "We’re going into a run of very important games. All of the players need to be ready for that so that’s why Mancini has been mixing the side up a bit."
Zanetti was also asked about the situation regarding Fredy Guarin: "The negotiations are ongoing and we hope to have news as soon as possible. We’ll see how it ends, then we’ll have time to think about how we might strengthen the squad."
