DISCOVER INTER ACADEMY

The Inter Academy team are taking stock of objectives met and new goals to aim for ahead of another packed year of activity

MILAN – After a successful 2015, the Inter Academy project has kicked off the New Year with a host of new objectives to work towards and a wave of renewed ambition.

The project continues to export the philosophy and training methodology of the Inter youth academy around the world, thanks to training courses and refresher programmes planned in collaboration with Inter Academy technical director Marco Monti and youth academy director Roberto Samaden.

In recent years, the project has been able to draw on the technical and commercial divisions of the club in order to make it a more strategic initiative. Director of Partnership Management Barbara Biggi is directly responsible for the programme alongside Marco Monti, who knows the club inside out: having spent ten years as a player in the Nerazzurri youth ranks before embarking on a Serie A career elsewhere, the Inter Academy technical director has coached nearly all categories of the youth academy, leading both the Giovanissimi and Primavera sides to national titles.

Aldo Montinaro is the Technical Operations Manager and has been working on international projects in both Corporate Social Responsibility and the training of coaches and specialisation of young players since 1997. The Business Development Manager is Luca Franchini, who made his professional debut in the Nerazzurri jersey at San Siro before playing and studying in Italy and abroad.

The project is also able to draw on a team of coaches boasting extensive experience at the club: Andrea RattiValerio Candido, Valerio Ringoli and Kevin Cauet all came through the Inter youth academy as players before going on to take up coaching roles with the Nerazzurri.

Meanwhile, all of the current youth academy coaches periodically take part in activities organised by the Inter Academy project. Physical activity coordinator Roberto Niccolai and base activity coordinator Paolo Migliavacca recently visited Saudi Arabia and Japan, while Football Schools coordinator Massimo Giuriola will soon travel to China.

Completing the team effort is vice president Javier Zanetti, who has already been able to visit every Inter Academy site in the world.
