BERGAMO - Javier Zanetti spoke to Mediaset Premium in the build-up to Atalanta v Inter.
Reflecting on last week's match against Sassuolo, the Nerazzurri vice president began: "Unfortunately we lost a game that right till the end we thought we could win. But as we pushed for the win we ended up losing. Defeats are part of the game too though and they help you to grow. Hopefully we can have a good second half to the season now.
"I don't think it was a case of our focus dropping. We did everything we could to win the game. We need to find the right balance if we're to build on the good work we've done so far. We lost two games in which we played well and deserved a bit more but that's football for you. We have to carry on working."
Today's match sees Mauro Icardi and Stevan Jovetic partnered together up front again.
"The coach expects more from them because he knows they have a lot to offer and have the ability to win matches," Zanetti continued. "The players try to give Mancini a selection headache during the week so he has lots of options when it comes to naming his side."
