Mastromonaco broke the deadlock just nine minutes in before Pelle doubled the lead four minutes later. Adorante and Esposito then added further goals to give the Nerazzurri a 4-0 advantage at the break. Inter continued to attack in the second period with Adorante completing his brace and Amabile rounding out the scoring.
