MILAN – Javier Zanetti found time to say a few words to Inter Campus following the presentation of the book celebrating 20 years of the Gentleman Prize: "The award followed me throughout my career with Inter. I was on the receiving end many times and to be honorary president of the prize is a great privilege.
"It is an important award for this city. There is also a strong link with the Pupi Foundation, which does some fantastic work."
The Inter legend then shared his thoughts on the team's current form, with the Nerazzurri back at the top of Serie A. "The reaction against Genoa was crucial, now we have to continue in this vein. Winning is always important, but we've got a tough match coming up. Nevertheless, Roberto Mancini and his players will approach it in the right way.
"If I have to pick one, I'd say Miranda is the figurehead of the side. He and Jeison Murillo are doing an excellent job together. However, we shouldn't forget Andrea Ranocchia and Juan Jesus, who have picked up fewer minutes this season but have always delivered when called upon.
"The most important thing this year is that Inter have a number of different options."
