MILAN - "We wanted to win this match after the Napoli loss and we succeeded." Danilo D'Ambrosio chatted to Inter Channel following the win over Genoa at San Siro.
"We showed against Napoli that we can compete, even when down to ten men. We wanted to win tonight at all costs. We got the three points and a good performance to boot. As for my sending off, football is a contact sport. The first challenge was shoulder to shoulder. Perhaps I clipped the opposition player on the second but honestly I think he could have stayed on his feet. Perhaps I have a different view of football though. I prefer a fast tempo with fewer stoppages in play. I think that's a positive for those watching the match."
Finally a word on the team's defensive solidity: "We all help each other out. We want to concede as few goals as possible because we know that sooner or later we'll get one at the other end."
