FIRST IGP GOALKEEPING SESSION AT THE FACCHETTI

Technical training for 81 young shotstoppers and 50 coaches from the Inter Grassroots Program. Eight Nerazzurri coaches visit clubs to present the project

MILAN – The first Inter Grassroots Program get-together for goalkeepers was held at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti on Monday.

F.C. Internazionale's academy training ground played host to 50 instructors hailing from 17 IGP partner clubs in Lombardy and five Development Centres.

Nerazzurri academy goalkeeping coaches and athletic trainers were on hand to welcome the instructors as well as 81 budding goalies (born in 2003 and 2004) from clubs who have joined the Inter Grassroots Program.

The afternoon was spent working on specific goalkeeping technique and motor-coordination skills under the watchful eyes of Inter's academy staff, whose job it is to share the club's methodology and technical planning with IGP partner clubs.

After watching the training sessions with the youngsters, eight Nerazzurri coaches then held meetings with a number of IGP clubs to present the new project to everyone involved.
