APPIANO GENTILE - Fredy Guarin was today's guest on InterNos, the weekly show on Inter Channel which offers fans the chance to put questions to one of the players.
The 28-year-old began by talking about his match-winning strike against AC Milan earlier on in the season. "There are goals and then there are goals," he said. "The one I scored in the derby felt very special but every goal is different and it always feels good to score."
The Colombian was also asked how he thinks Inter have managed to climb to the Serie A summit this season. The secret, he says, is simply "A great group of lads all pulling in the same direction. We're all willing to lend each other a hand, both on and off the pitch. Mancini makes sure everyone feels involved, even those who are playing less.”
Fredy has had the opportunity to wear the captain's armband several times during his Inter career. "I was very proud the first time I was made captain. Zanetti is a legend, a great guy and a great player. The energy he has is unique. He might seem serious from the outside but he's very funny."
Finally, the Colombian commented briefly on Inter's next match, at Napoli's Stadio San Paolo on Monday 30 November. "They're playing at home and they'll have their fans driving them on," he said.
Guarin's full interview will be aired on Inter Channel at 21:00 CET tonight.
