MILAN – Gianni Infantino was at San Siro tonight to watch Inter v Frosinone and shared his thoughts on the game with Inter Channel.
"It was a great game, a wonderful evening of football and a fantastic spectacle. It's always a pleasure to watch games like these. The important thing is that football continues to send out positive messages. This sport is all about joy, fun and passion."
After years as UEFA general secretary, Infantino has now thrown his hat into the ring for the FIFA presidency. "Yes, I am going for the FIFA presidency and it's a huge responsibility. The main thing is to bring football back onto centre-stage, putting the sport above everything else.
"Since I was in Milan anyway, I was lucky enough to watch a great game tonight. We must not forget what we are here to do in football's governing bodies. The priority has to be football and the fans' spectacle.
"We have to turn the page, address what went wrong and start talking about football again: the sport that millions and millions all over the world are so passionate about."
