ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT INTER V ROMA

Second win on the spin for the Nerazzurri. Medel's first goal, 2015/16 records for Guarin and Handanovic and more feature in Opta's post-match stats

MILAN – After beating Bologna 1-0 last Tuesday, the Nerazzurri repeated the trick against Roma on Saturday night thanks to Gary Medel's 30th-minute drive – his first goal in black and blue.

With the help of our friends at Opta, we've picked out some of the key stats from last night's Serie A Week 11 success:

- The win over Roma was Inter's sixth 1-0 victory in the current Serie A campaign.

- The Nerazzurri have scored one goal in nine of the 11 games they have played in the league this season.

- Inter made it two consecutive Serie A victories over Roma for the first time since 2000.

- Roma failed to score in a Serie A game for the first time since March, ending a run of 21 consecutive fixtures in which they had always found the back of the net.

- Gary Medel's goal after 30 min 03 sec was Inter's quickest in 2015/16. The Nerazzurri are yet to score in the first 30 minutes of play in this competition.

- The Chilean midfielder broke his scoring duck after 54 appearances in all competitions for Inter.

- Fredy Guarin attempted a shot from 68 metres in the 8th minute – the longest shot on target in Serie A this year.

- Adem Ljajic made 34 successful passes against his former club – more than any other Inter player on the night.

- Samir Handanovic made nine saves, a joint record (with Frosinone's Leali against Atalanta) in Serie A 2015/16.
