MILAN – Sylvinho spoke to reporters in a press conference at the Meazza after the game against Roma. He started by explaining the changes made to Inter's starting line-up: "We opted for players with different qualities so that we could nullify Roma's nippy wingers and make it hard for their centre-backs. Then Palacio came on who's a similar player to Jovetic to ensure they had no reference points."
The win means Inter can enjoy looking down on the rest of the league for one night at least. "It's three big points against a very good team. I think it's a really important win," Mancini's technical assistant continued. "We're a better team than we were last season but we're still building. Roma, Napoli, Fiorentina and Juventus could all win the Scudetto. We know there's lots of work still to be done."
The Nerazzurri's defence stood firm against Serie A's best attack. "Miranda and Murillo haven't played together that much due to injuries and suspensions but they form a formidable partnership. One is very experienced, the other has pace and youth on his side. Nagatomo and D'Ambrosio are proof there's room for everyone in this team."
