MILAN - Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio was interviewed by Mediaset Premium shortly before Inter v Roma.
"Mauro Icardi's exclusion from the starting line-up is a technical decision." he explained. "We have lots of great players. Mauro is one of those and he'll be ready to play his part if called upon. This has nothing to do with what he said after the Bologna game. The lads we have playing up top today have different skills to Icardi."
Meanwhile Danilo D'Ambrosio starts in defence: "It's a particular week. We have a squad of 25-26 players and it's not right to talk about starters and reserves. They're all part of our plans. D'Ambrosio is playing today for example and he's been training hard for weeks. He hadn't seen much game time up till now and he was chosen to start tonight."
