INTER ACADEMY BASE BRASIL UNVEILING AT MARACANÃ

Media conference in Rio de Janeiro today to present the latest Inter Academy project, which aims to provide training to 400 local coaches and 8,000 children

MILAN – After the United States, Japan, Saudi Arabia and China, Inter Academy is now expanding to Brazil. A news conference will be held at Rio de Janeiro's Estádio do Maracanã today to unveil the Inter Academy Base Brasil project to journalists, with Inter Academy director Marco Monti and Nerazzurri vice president Javier Zanetti among those attending.

The latest Inter Academy project will see 27 Football Schools set up all across Brazil with the aim of providing training to more than 400 local coaches, who will in turn pass on their knowledge to around 8,000 budding footballers.

Inter Academy's objective is not scouting but sharing football know-how. The project aims to equip local coaches with the technical tools needed to train children aged 6 to 17 the right way from the very start, focusing especially on grassroots activities – an area where Inter's youth academy excels. It offers youngsters the opportunity to develop their talent in their own countries

Now present in five countries and constantly expanding, Inter Academy currently works with 1,000 coaches and 15,000 children worldwide.
