JUAN JESUS: "WE HAVE A FANTASTIC GROUP"

The Brazilian defender spoke to Inter Channel after the Nerazzurri’s 0-0 draw with Juventus

MILAN – Inter defender Juan Jesus believes that a point each was a fair result between Inter and Juventus tonight, despite the Nerazzurri going into the match for a win. Speaking to Inter Channel after the final whistle, Juan Jesus declared: "We gave everything to get the three points, but had to settle for a draw. A point each is a fair result, the Derby d’Italia is always a tough match.

"We put in a great performance tonight, especially in the first half, and deserved to score. We fell back a bit in the second half and couldn’t get about them as much as the boss wanted," declared the Brazilian defender.

Asked about his battle with Telles for the left-back slot, Juan Jesus replied: "We have a fantastic group and the coach decides what’s best for the team. Whoever plays tries to give his all for the shirt. I played today, but in other matches Telles has got the nod. The most important thing is to win and to give everything for Inter."

Last but not least, Juan Jesus had a message for the Nerazzurri faithful: "We want San Siro to be like this every game because we need our fans. They were fantastic tonight – their support is fundamental."
