MILAN – Antonio Conte’s Italy side secured qualification for the Euro 2016 finals in France last night as they beat Azerbaijan 3-1 away in Baku. Davide Santon was on the bench for the whole match, which was decided by goals from Eder, El Shaarawy and Darmian.
Inter wide forward Ivan Perisic set his Croatia side on the way to a 3-0 win over Bulgaria with a goal in the second minute of the match. Goals from Rakitic (42) and Kalinic (81) completed the scoring. Marcelo Brozovic was kept in reserve on the bench.
