GENOA – Young Nerazzurri striker Rey Manaj spoke to Inter Channel after this afternoon’s 1-1 draw with Sampdoria at Marassi.
First up was the penalty incident, which saw Manaj felled in the box but no foul given: "For me it was a penalty. I was protecting the ball and just as I was about to move it on the defender slid in. But the referee gave a corner. It happens. We make mistakes and so does everyone else."
Manaj then looked back on the match in general: "We put in a good performance. Let’s keep working hard and I’m sure the results will keep coming. I’m really happy – I know there are some very strong players ahead of me.
"I try to keep my head down and keep training well. I’m happy with the faith Mancini is putting in me. Today he just asked me to come on and play off Icardi," declared Manaj.
