STANKOVIC: "EXPECTING A GOOD CHALLENGE"

The Nerazzurri club manager spoke to Mediaset Premium minutes before kick-off between Inter and Fiorentina

MILAN – Dejan Stankovic discussed Inter v Fiorentina with Mediaset Premium a few minutes before kick-off at San Siro this evening: "We’re sending clear messages in the league – we’re well-organised and are working very calmly. The results have helped us and we’re expecting another good challenge tonight.

"The boss has prepared the lads for the match well and we hope to build on our results so far. As for the criticism, I know Mancini won’t mind that. It’s better to win five games 1-0 than one game 5-0. Exciting football will come, we’re not worrying about that. The team deserves recognition for the way it’s putting the hard yards in every day.

"The whole side is doing well, but if I had to pick one person out I’d say Felipe Melo. He’s slotted in with the group fantastically, adapted quickly and given us a boost. Fiorentina are a dangerous side – they soak up pressure and break with great quality. They’re not scared of playing football and they knock the ball about well," declared Stankovic.
