MILAN - F.C. Internazionale Milano have appointed Michael Gandler as their new Chief Revenue Officer. Gandler will report directly to Inter CEO Michael Bolingbroke and takes charge of all commercial and revenue generating opportunities at the Serie A Club.
Commenting on Gandler’s appointment Inter CEO, Michael Bolingbroke, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Michael to the management team here at Inter. Michael’s proven track record in the international sports industry, focused on maximising commercial revenues for major sports properties, will allow us to increase the appeal of the Inter brand at a global level. We want to ensure that our fanbase worldwide has access to Inter whenever and wherever they are. To do this we will be engaging with new and existing partners in territories worldwide.”
Talking of his appointment, Michael Gandler, said: “Joining an iconic Club of Inter's stature is an incredible opportunity. The Club has ambitious plans both on and off the field and I look forward to working with Inter’s commercial team and our numerous partners to continue to grow the business.”
Gandler began his career in international sports with executive roles in the marketing and commercialisation of some of the most prestigious events across the Americas including the CONCACAF Gold Cup, Copa America, FIFA World Cup Qualifying and various league and club competitions throughout Latin America.
As a senior executive at Major League Soccer (MLS), Gandler oversaw global sponsorships and media, where he is credited with the negotiation of landmark sponsorship and international media rights deals for the league. Gandler was also instrumental in the launch of MLS’s Canadian business, the Women’s Professional Soccer League and the US commercialisation of premier properties such as the US Soccer Federation, Mexican National Team, FC Barcelona, and many others.
