FOOTBALL THERAPY AT SAN SIRO

Inter v Fiorentina will see the Meazza welcome young cancer patients in the first instalment of Football Therapy

MILAN - The F.C. Internazionale Social Area has organised the Football Therapy project in collaboration with the children’s cancer units at the Istituto dei Tumori di Milano and the San Gerardo di Monza hospitals.

A stadium Sky Box will be reserved for the project every time Inter play at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, allowing children and adolescents receiving cancer treatment to watch their heroes in the flesh. The initiative is also open to other healthcare centres in the region.

The objective of the project is to give the youngsters a much-needed boost at a challenging time.

Ambassadors for the project are Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo, who are proud to be supporters of a club that is so sensitive to the needs of those less fortunate. “Even just a smile – or being able to do what you’re passionate about – can help strengthen your hope.”

The initiative will kick off on Sunday 27 September 2015 as Inter play Fiorentina at San Siro.
