MILAN - Erick Thohir spoke exclusively to inter.it following yesterday's 1-0 derby success against AC Milan.
The president said: "Yesterday’s derby win over AC Milan was a great result for the club coming so early on in the season. We have a lot of new players that still need to get to know their team-mates and many who returned tired after international duty. I thought they all played very well. I am proud of the whole team and of course our fans, who turned out in record numbers to create a fantastic atmosphere at the San Siro and support Robert Mancini and the players.
"I am happy with the work completed by the club in the transfer market and in the recruitment of the new players. We have brought in a good mix of young talented individuals and wiser experienced players. As they get to know each other more they will surely gel together as a team and get stronger.
"Immediately after the game the first thing I did was to call Roberto Mancini and Michael Bolingbroke to congratulate them and the whole team."
