INTERNATIONAL ROUNDUP, JOVETIC ON TARGET

The Montenegrin scored one and set up another in a 2-0 win over Liechtenstein, while Medel and Miranda also tasted victory

MILAN – It’s international week in football land and the Nerazzurri have 13 players representing their respective national sides across all four corners of the globe.

Saturday 5 September saw Stevan Jovetic turn out for Montenegro against Liechtenstein in their Euro 2016 qualifying match. The Inter marksman put in a stellar performance, setting up the first goal and scoring the second in the 56th minute to secure a 2-0 win for his side before taking his leave on 69 minutes.

Samir Handanovic was also in Euro 2016 qualifying action, playing all 90 minutes of Slovenia’s 3-2 loss to Switzerland.

On the other side of the world, Gary Medel was busy helping Chile to a 3-2 friendly win over Paraguay, while Miranda played the full 90 of Brazil’s 1-0 defeat of Costa Rica.
