MILAN - In an exclusive interview with Sky Italia, Geoffrey Kondogbia assessed his first few months as a Nerazzurri player: "Inter was the best choice I could have made," he revealed. "It's the best project for me so I can develop and improve.
"Mancini was a great player and you can still see that. I'm honoured he wanted me and I was really touched by what he said about me. I know he's a coach that develops young players. He played a crucial role in my decision. What I've struggled with the most so far is all the travelling as well as training, I wasn't used to it.
"The Italian league is more tactical. It's not easy to find space. My position at Monaco was slightly different but I'm playing in a position I know well. Mancini knows how to get the best out of me. We've been a solid team in the first two games and we need to continue that. We're bringing lots of new faces into the side and we have to gel as a team. We've made a good start and we hope to continue in the same vein.
"Felipe Melo is an excellent player and I'm pleased he's signed. He can help us a lot."
