JOVETIC: "PLEASED WITH THE GOAL AND WIN"

"I’m absolutely delighted. It’s so important to score, but I wouldn’t have managed it without my team-mates," declared the Montenegrin striker after Carpi v Inter

MODENA – That man again. Stevan Jovetic’s name will be in all the papers tomorrow morning after he scored twice to hand Inter a 1-2 win over Carpi tonight. The Montenegrin striker spoke to the press after his star turn in Modena.

"I wasn’t expecting such a great start, but I’m happy that we’ve won again tonight and showed the strength to come back. We’re performing well so I’m happy," Jovetic told Mediaset Premium.

"Inter have had a great transfer window and now we have another top player in Perisic. I’m feeling better and better – now I just need consistency and goals. We’re two matches in and need to keep giving 100% to hit our target of third place," continued the striker.

The Nerazzurri man then spoke to Sky Sport Italia: "I’m absolutely delighted. It’s so important to score as a striker, but I wouldn’t have managed it without my team-mates.

"It was important to start well – points are all that matter at this stage of the season. We have the international break now ahead of the derby. I want to show exactly what I can do. I like playing as close to goal as possible because it means I can be more decisive, but it’s up to the boss to decide where to play me.

"Eder? He scored an incredible goal and I’d be happy to have him here at Inter," concluded Jovetic.
