D'AMBROSIO EYES WINNING START IN SERIE A

"We've worked really hard in recent weeks. Now we must be ready for our league opener on Sunday." The full-back shares his views after AEK stalemate

ANCONA - Danilo D'Ambrosio admitted that he was disappointed not to have finished up on the winning side against AEK Athens but believes Inter will be raring to go when the 2015/16 league campaign kicks off next weekend.

Speaking after the Nerazzurri were held to a goalless draw by AEK Athens, the Italian told Inter Channel: "We dominated the match."

He then admitted: "Perhaps we were lacking something in the final third but we'll use this week to find our polish again.

"The league starts on Sunday and we have to get it right. We've worked hard in recent weeks, playing lots of games and doing lots of travelling. Now we want to make sure we're ready for our league opener. It's really important that we start with a win on Sunday."
