ALL THE INFO ON INTER V ATHLETIC BILBAO

The Nerazzurri’s friendly against the Spanish side kicks off at Parma’s Stadio Tardini on Saturday 8 August at 21:00 CEST

MILAN – Roberto Mancini and his Inter side are set to continue their pre-season preparations with a mouth-watering friendly against Athletic Bilbao on Saturday 8 August. The match against the Spanish outfit will take place at Parma’s Stadio Tardini, with kick-off scheduled for 21:00 CEST.

Ernesto Valverde’s Bilbao side are well into their preparations for the 2015/16 season, having already dispatched Baku 2-0 in the first leg of their Europa League third qualifying round tie on 30 July. And with star man Iker Maniain out with injury, 25-year-old Spanish midfielder Javier Eraso stepped up with a brace to all but book Athletic’s spot in the next round.

A young side with an average age of 26.4 years, Athletic Bilbao have won the Spanish league eight times and the Copa Del Rey 24 times. Boasting a strong bond with the local area, Bilbao have a staunch group of fans that sell out the 53,332-seater San Mamés Barria almost every week.

It promises to be another useful test for Roberto Macini’s Inter side ahead of the 2015/16 Serie A season. The Nerazzurri, of course, welcome Atalanta to San Siro on 23 August at 20:45 CEST.
