D'AMBROSIO: "ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT"

"Mancini's really motivated and we're all taking his advice on board." The defender shares his views after Inter's friendly with Carpi

RISCONE DI BRUNICO - Danilo D'Ambrosio chatted to journalists after this afternoon's friendly against Carpi, which saw him play the first 45 minutes at right-back.

He began: "It was a tougher test for us today. It was really hot out there and the tempo was a bit slower. We tried to reproduce what we've ben practising this week but there's still room for improvement."

On Roberto Mancini: "The gaffer is really motivated and we're all looking to him, taking his advice on board and putting it into practice."

Where do Inter need to strengthen? "I'm not going to talk about the transfer market. Technically there are some areas where we can improve."

The full-back has previously been linked with a move away from Inter but stressed that he is going nowhere. "There has been some interest in me and it's always nice but the club and I have decided to go on together. Big clubs are always going to sign players but the rumours don't affect the way we train or the mood in the camp."

D'Ambrosio was also asked for his first impression of Kondogbia: "He's a strong player with great technique."
