MILAN – It was a magical night. A key moment in what turned out to be a history-making season. San Siro throbbed with Nerazzurri passion. Milan was black and blue.
It was 24 January 2010 when Inter claimed victory in the Derby della Madonnina playing 9 against 11, without giving the opposition an inch. The Nerazzurri faithful were fired up and orchestrated by Jose Mourinho, the conductor of an inforgettable night at La Scala del Calcio.
The energy ran from the stands down to the pitch and back up to the stands again. Unison. Harmony. A wave of black and blue that wiped out the opposition. El Principe's clinical finish, Pandev's curling free kick, Julio Cesar's saves. Then came the final whistle, the cue for celebrations to begin. A small taster of what was to follow a few months later as the Nerazzurri made it a trebly trumphant May.
That night was just one of the most exciting moments of our history. There are plenty more to come, starting next season. And nothing beats being there!
