MILAN - FC Internazionale Milano is pleased to announce Robert Faulkner as the Club's new Chief Communications Officer. Faulkner has over 20 years of experience in media and communications both in sport and the corporate world and will join the Nerazzurri in time for their tour of China in July.

"Robert has a proven track record in the world of communications, both in the football industry and the corporate sector. He will work across all areas of the club's communication strategy, both at home and internationally, and will significantly strengthen our senior Management Team."
Faulkner was previously Head of Communications for UEFA during a 12-year career at European football's governing body. During that time he worked under both Presidents Lennart Johansson and Michel Platini responsible for the communication division, devising corporate strategy, supervising the press office, overseeing media operations and accreditations for all UEFA competitions, and providing strategic advice to UEFA's top management. Acting as UEFA's official spokesman Faulkner was the institution's direct contact for all international media.
After 12 years at UEFA, in 2013 he was appointed senior consultant at international company Leidar Communications, working across the organisation's sporting and corporate divisions.

Faulkner began his career in 1991 at London sports PR consultancy firm Jardine International working for clients on major international events including: Camel Trophy, Formula 1 and the Whitbread Round the World Race. In 1996, he joined Yamaha Motor Europe in Amsterdam, overseeing product communications and working with the World Superbike Team before moving to Toyota's European headquarters in Brussels. At Toyota he headed up new product launches in Europe for both Toyota and Lexus brands overseeing their motor sports communications in the World Rally Championship and for their entry into Formula 1.
Faulkner speaks four languages: English, Italian, French and Spanish. He holds an Executive Master of Science in Communications Management from the Università della Svizzera italiana in Lugano. During the twenty-month course, he reinforced his communications experience gaining new perspectives in the management of stakeholder relationships, reputation management, and corporate identity at a strategic level. The course included a two-week management session at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Faulkner also has a BA honours in Geography from The University of Nottingham. He is married with one child.
