INTER CLUBS CELEBRATE AT SAN SIRO

Before the Empoli game and at half-time, the Meazza turf turned black and blue with a host of celebrations from the Inter Clubs and Inter Forever

1/19

MILAN – The Nerazzurri’s last match of the season saw the Inter Clubs take centre stage on the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza pitch. One of the most magical moments was the award given to Ms Adriana Caverni, a member of Inter Club Origgio and season-ticket holder at San Siro for over 60 years. Ms Caverni was marking her 100th birthday, and received a commemorative shirt from Javier Zanetti, showing once again that nothing beats being there.

Before kick-off with Empoli, there was also time for a tribute to John Zammit, who has been the president of Inter Club Malta for 20 years, no less. If that wasn’t enough, five Inter Clubs were marking their birthdays and received awards from Benito Carbone, Nazzareno Canuti, Francesco Colonnese and Fausto Pizzi. Inter Club Arezzo (25 years), Inter Club Giorgione (40 years), Inter Club Ospitaletto (40 years), Inter Club Cattolica (30 years) and Inter Club Poggibonsi (30 years) were the clubs being honoured.

Half-time saw a parade of representatives of the many fan clubs affiliated to FC Internazionale, with Inter Club Varese, Inter Club Toscana, Inter Club Marche, Inter Club Piemonte, Inter Club Valle Vigezzo, Inter Club Banda Bagaj, Inter Club Templari, Inter Club Recco and Inter Club Abbiategrasso Campioni taking to the Meazza turf. It was the club’s way of saying thank you to all Inter Clubs, whose passion and support has never been lacking this season.

The club is already looking ahead to next year and the Inter Club Coordination Centre has a host of exclusive benefits up its sleeve for all members. Keep an eye on inter.it at the end of June for all the details!
