ROME – The Giovanissimi Nazionali made the best possible start to their round-of-16 clash with Lazio today as they handed the Biancocelesti a 4-0 thrashing in the first leg of the tie. Federico Pelle opened the scoring in the 11th minute and scored again four minutes before half-time to put the Nerazzurri in the driving seat. An own-goal gave Inter breathing space in the 49th minute, before Pelle completed his hat-trick on 68 minutes.
The return leg will take place in Milan in a week’s time.
