MILAN – Eternal Nerazzurri legend, symbol of Italian sport and shining example of moral integrity both on and off the field of play. Now, Turin’s Museum of Sport is to pay tribute to the great Giacinto Facchetti with the “Io sono Giacinto” (I am Giacinto) exhibition, which will be open to the public between 21 and 24 May.
A collection of photographs, newspaper front pages, articles and never-before-seen mementos make up the exhibition, which paints a fascinating picture of one of the greatest players ever to play the game.
To mark the inauguration of the exhibition on Thursday 21 May at 10:30 CET, Inter Club Turin president Aldo Altobelli and Turin Museum of Sport president Onorato Arisi will be in attendance at an event where journalist Darwin Pastorin will speak of Facchetti the sportsman, Giacinto’s son Gianfelice will remember Facchetti the man and Fausto Sala will look back at Facchetti’s role at Inter after his playing days were over. There will also be a special appearance from one of Facchetti’s historic opponents.
