A massive earthquake registering 7.8 on the Richter scale devastated Nepal on Saturday 25 April, killing thousands of people and leaving more than 1.7 million more in desperate conditions. The survivors have been left with nothing and are counting on humanitarian aid to keep going.
UNICEF have teams working round the clock in the country to protect the local population. They won't stop until every last child is safe.
They need clean drinking water, salts for oral rehydration and vitamins, as well as food but also tents to house the field hospitals and homeless. It's a race against time and everyone needs to do their bit to make it possible.

Until 10 May you can donate to UNICEF and the WFP by texting or calling 45596. Donations cost €1 from mobiles (TIM, Vodafone, WIND, 3, PosteMobile and CoopVoce) or €2 from landlines (Telecom Italia, Fastweb, Vodafone e TWT).
