MILAN – He'd been waiting for that goal for a while and when it came he wanted to dedicate it to his daughter Angelica and all the Nerazzurri fans. This is what Hernanes told Inter Channel after he opened the scoring in the 2-1 success over Roma.
"I hadn't scored since October – my last one was against Napoli," he began. "And I hadn't scored one like that from outside the box for even longer so I'm really happy. It felt amazing when I saw the ball hit the net.
"It's for my daughter Angelica because I haven't had the chance to dedicate one to her yet. And it's for all the Nerazzurri fans as well, as they are always behind us and so nice to me. They deserved a win and a gritty, determined performance like this. It's also the 70th anniversary of Italian Liberation Day so I dedicate it to all those who suffered."
The Prophet concluded with a comment on playing in the hole, where he has been deployed in recent outings by Roberto Mancini: "I've found a position where I feel really settled now and I want to keep on like this."
