MILAN – Inter will set out to defend the cup they lifted last year when the 24th Abano Terme International Football Trophy kicks off today.
This year's edition of the prestigious Under-13s tournament sees the involvement of 600 youngsters and 24 teams hailing from 13 countries in three continents.
In the group phase, teams are divided into eight groups of three with the top two qualifying for the last 16. Paolo Migliavacca's Giovanissimi Regionali B side have been placed in Group A together with hosts Abano Calcio and FC Brugge.
The reigning champions will begin their title defence against Abano Calcio at 11:00 tomorrow morning, while their second game against FC Brugge is to be played in the afternoon at 16:30.
The final is set to take place on Sunday 26 April at 10:45.
