VERONA - Samir Handanovic was interviewed by Sky Italia immediately after the final whistle blew on Inter's 3-0 victory over Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi, a game in which the Slovene shotstopper denied Luca Toni from the spot.
He said: "It was important to start winning again after last week's draw with Parma. We needed to play with passion and at a high tempo. We did that and got the win, but it was by no means easy.
"It's always satisfying when you keep a clean sheet as a goalkeeper. We needed to find a bit of defensive solidity.
"Do we still believe we can get into Europe? We have to believe that, you never know what can happen in football. We just have to focus on the derby now.
"My contract? We'll see. That's something you'd have to ask my agent about."
