ERICK THOHIR TALKS TO RADIO 101JAKFM

"The Nerazzurri fans are fantastic and deserve the best. We're working to give them that"

JAKARTA - Erick Thohir spoke to 101JakFM over the phone earlier, discussing his passions in life, his family, his business interests in media and sport, as well as his decision to buy Inter in 2013.

The president said the following about the Nerazzurri: "I was contacted from the United States and asked if I would be interested in investing in a world-famous club in Europe. It was Inter and I couldn't believe it because I'd always followed Serie A and the Nerazzurri in particular. How could I not be interested? Inter are a global brand that are well known all over the world.

"It's an honour for me but also a responsibility. That's why I'm trying to do my best for this club and will continue to do so because they deserve the best. At the start I thought that Angelomario Moratti should be president but Massimo said to me that as I was the majority shareholder it was only fair I be president. It really is a great honour because the fans are fantastic and they deserve the best. We're working to give them that."

During the radio show, a supporter commented on the club's possible transfer activity. The fan asked him not to sell Kovacic and the president jokingly replied with a question: "But should I sign Touré?"
