APPIANO GENTILE – The Nerazzurri were put through their paces with a double training session today, Roberto Mancini ratcheting up the workload ahead of Saturday's match with Parma at the Stadio Meazza.
The morning programme began with strength work focusing on arms and legs and continued with some uphill sprints, before the players moved onto the pitch.
Marcelo Brozovic and Gary Medel did some personalised exercises then joined the rest of the squad, while Mateo Kovacic was limited to jogging around the field.
Joel Obi had physiotherapy, Marco Andreolli is recovering from a bout of flu and Lukas Podolski was given the day off after returning from international duty. He will join up with the squad again tomorrow.
Watching on from the sidelines was a group of Inter football school coaches and students from Villoresi San Giuseppe College in Monza.
After a lunch break, the Nerazzurri reconvened on the pitch for a series of tactical drills directed by Mancini. Part of the squad then moved into the cage for a game, while the remainder put the reflexes of Berni, Carrizo and Handanovic to the test with a shooting session.
