GARFIELD – Over 320 fans descended on The Venetian in Garfield recently to participate in the 7th edition of the charity gala organised by the Inter Club New Jersey Giacinto Facchetti and its president Aldo Tripicchio.
The evening, which saw attendance from special guests Youri Djorkaeff and Beppe Baresi, was being held to raise money for research into juvenile diabetes and for the Youri Djorkaeff Foundation, which works with Inter Campus USA to assist in the social integration of 120 boys and girls in the Inwood area of Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
Also at the event was 14-year-old superfan Alessio Cirelli, who joined forces with his father to write a book, Internauta, about the Nerazzurri universe, having been inspired by the derby of two years ago. During the evening, Congressman William Pascrell presented Beppe Baresi with an official certificate from the United States congress in recognition of his career.
