MILAN – Giovanni Trapattoni will forever be remembered as the leader of the fantastic Inter side that collected an incredible 58 points from a possible 68, winning the title known to all as the "record-breaking Scudetto".
It was the Inter of Ernesto Pellegrini, of Brehme, Matthäus and Klinsmann, of Walter Zenga and of an unbreakable Italian spine. But most of all, it was Trap’s Inter.
Under Trap’s unerring stewardship, the Nerazzurri even lifted the UEFA Cup in the 1990/91 season, in a fitting tribute to the side’s brilliance.
Happy 76th birthday, Trap, from everyone at Inter!
