WOLFSBURG – Swiss schemer Xherdan Shaqiri appeared alongside his manager at the pre-match press conference on the eve of Wolfsburg v Inter: "The manager knows exactly how to prepare for the match – it’s not my job to give advice. I can offer some recommendations about my compatriots, but the boss has so much experience that I don’t think he needs my help.
"I know several Wolfsburg players: Klose, Benaglio, Rodriguez and Luis Gustavo. It’s great to meet up with them again for a European fixture. On a personal level, I have good memories of playing well here with Bayern.
"Wolfsburg are a complete side and have strengthened well. They’ve been winning lots of games in the Bundesliga. It’s going to be a tough tie, but we want to continue the journey we’ve started and get a good result, like we did at Celtic Park," said Shaqiri.
