NAPOLI V INTER STAT ATTACK

With kick-off in tonight’s match at the Stadio San Paolo approaching, let’s take a closer look at the clash courtesy of statistics from Football Data

200 Serie A apps for Campagnaro
Hugo Campagnaro marks his 200th Serie A appearance tonight, having made his debut in the Italian top flight on 22 September 2002 in Piacenza’s 2-0 win over Udinese. The Argentine has turned out for Piacenza, Sampdoria, Napoli and Inter here in Italy.

Battle of the strikers
The first- and third-placed strikers in the Italian scoring charts do battle tonight at the Stadio San Paolo. The Nerazzurri’s Mauro Icardi leads the pack with 19 goals (which puts him level with Juve’s Carlos Tevez), whilst Gonzalo Higuain is in third with 17.

17-match scoring streak for Napoli at home
Napoli have found the net in their last 17 matches at the Stadio San Paolo. In total, Rafa Benitez’s side have scored 41 times in that period and haven’t failed to get on the scoresheet since their 0-1 defeat to Chievo on 14 September 2014.

No penalties allowed
Napoli are the only team not to have conceded a penalty this Serie A season. Indeed, the last time the Azzurri were forced to face a penalty came on 30 October 2013 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, as Napoli won 1-2 away at Fiorentina (Giuseppe Rossi missed the spot-kick, incidentally). Since then, Napoli have gone 53 Serie A matches without conceding a penalty.
