MILAN – "I’m a bit tired because I’m coming back from injury, but the most important thing tonight was the result," declared Danilo D’Ambrosio shortly after the final whistle.
"It wasn’t easy. They play with very quick wingers, but we did well to impose our style of play. The boss asks us to put the effort in and we’re trying to repay his faith. We’re a united group and the Europa League is really important to us.
"Santon? We’re friends. He’s only just arrived but I’ve known him for a while and he’s a great lad.
"I’ve had a couple of injuries this year and haven’t enjoyed it at all. I wanted to return sooner – they have to keep me locked up because I always want to rush back! But it’s understandable that the medical team are trying to look after me," declared D’Ambrosio.
